Preview 0.6.0 changes direction from merging whole libraries to sharing new additions. It is a development build, not a finished browser-sync service.
No public download yet. Browser integration, native-sync coexistence and recovery must be checked in a separate test account.

Read a chosen local bookmark file with permission. The experimental receiving path prepares an import and helps open Safari’s import dialog; you complete the import.
EurekaMarks Inbox
A possible home for new links alongside browser delivery. This connection is planned, not included in this preview.
Code and synthetic test results do not prove live-browser behavior. Safari receiving is unverified with real browser data; macOS permissions alone do not establish reliable Safari syncing.
A few good questions
Know what comes along.
Clear boundaries from the first connection.
Will it change the bookmarks I already have?
No. Starting sync records your current bookmarks as the starting point. Those items are not merged, copied, renamed, moved, sorted or deleted. EurekaSync considers later additions and skips URLs that are already present in a destination.
Does it mirror every change between browsers?
No. This preview is additions only. Editing, moving or deleting a bookmark in one browser does not repeat that change elsewhere. It does not make old collections match or remove duplicates you already have.
How automatic is it?
After setup and an explicit start, Chrome and Firefox can receive new bookmarks in the background while their selected profiles and extensions are open. EurekaSync stays in the menu bar. Safari receiving currently needs you to complete an import; it is experimental, not unattended sync.
What permissions does Safari need?
Reading uses a bookmark file you choose and macOS permission to access it. The experimental assisted import may also request Automation and Accessibility permission to open Safari’s import dialog. The app explains each step. It does not directly edit Safari’s bookmark database. This path still needs separate-account testing.
Can I leave native browser sync on?
Yes—the design leaves Chrome Sync, iCloud Safari and Firefox Sync settings alone. Those services may carry newly added bookmarks to your other devices. Coexistence still needs testing; EurekaSync cannot guarantee how a browser or its cloud service will resolve a later change.
Where does EurekaMarks fit?
EurekaMarks is the separate bookmark library for collecting, organizing and opening links in a browser you choose. Sending new EurekaSync additions to its Inbox is planned. That connection is not available in Preview 0.6.0.
Do I need an account or upload my bookmarks?
The developer preview works locally on one Mac without a EurekaSync account. This website has no sign-up, public downloads or bookmark uploads. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures website visits and page performance without analytics cookies. The contact form sends only the details you enter to Sam through Cloudflare for spam checking and delivery.
